Prof. Zdzisław Kędzia jest Honorowym Przewodniczącym Global Campus of Human Rights (Wenecja) oraz byłym przewodniczącym Komitetu ONZ ds. Praw Gospodarczych, Społecznych i Kulturalnych.

Abskrat

Recent years have seen substantial expansion of corporate responsibility for human rights and environmental harm. This has been achieved through a complex meshwork of soft law and hard law norms that, although still lacking and fragmented, builds up a global framework (Galaxy of Norms) through which the new legal environment for business actors can be navigated and interpreted. The progress achieved is now being undermined, in Europe and globally, with the shift of political majorities in the EU and the recent political turn in the US. The keynote speaker and the panelists will undertake to take stock of these new realities and critically address the prospects and limitations of the existing architecture to remedy the harm suffered by rights holders and affected communities resulting from corporate activities and globalization.
