We were honored to host last week Professor Pavel Koukal from Masaryk University at the Faculty of Law and Administration. His visit was a great occasion filled with insightful knowledge sharing and discussions.

Professor Koukal has conducted a workshop on the topic of data, captivating our students with his deep understanding of the subject as well as of Polish history that was taken as a mean to explain the semiotic approach to data!

In addition to the lecture, Professor Koukal spoke during the 13^th Conference on Innovation and Communications Law – CICL 2023. He presented the topic of the requirement of sufficient precision and objective identification of the protectable subject-matter in various intellectual property systems.

It is particularly noteworthy that Professor Koukal’s research interests align remarkably well with the work carried out by the Jean Monnet Chair dig_INFLow and the Department of European Law. This alignment has laid a solid foundation for future collaboration between our institutions to which we are looking forward.
