Conference CICL 2023 – 11, 12 May
On May 11-12, the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University will host an international conference as part of the Conference on Innovation and Communications Law (CICL) series. This year’s edition is titled „Marketplace for innovation, technologies, and ideas – roles and responsibilities.” The CICL series has been organized since 2008 in collaboration with European and American universities, including the University of Turku (Finland), the University of Eastern Finland Law School, the University of Louisville School of Law (USA), Michigan State University College of Law (USA), Texas A&M University School of Law (USA), the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences in Szeged (Hungary), and the IPR University Center (Finland). Researchers from Europe, the United States, and Asia participate in the conferences each year. Previous editions have been held in various locations, such as Finland, Italy, Austria, the United States, and China. This year, the international discussion will take place at the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University.

- Professor Wojciech Wiewiórowski, the European Data Protection Supervisor, and
- Professor Krystyna Kowalik-Bańczyk, Judge at the Court of Justice of the European Union.
Professor Wojciech Wiewiórowski’s lecture on the topic „A data protection perspective. What is already regulated and what regulation is still needed for AI?” will be held in a hybrid format on Thursday, May 11, at 2:00 PM in Auditorium Maximum CIN.
Professor Krystyna Kowalik-Bańczyk’s lecture on the topic „Gatekeepers in the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice and the impact of the Digital Markets Act” will be held on Friday, May 12, at 9:15 AM in Auditorium Maximum CIN.
The honorary patronage over the conference has been taken by the Polish Patent Office, the Mayor of Poznań Jacek Jaśkowiak, and the Centrum Cyfrowe Foundation.
